Data collected by the chatbot implemented on a website includes:
Before Chat Initiation
Data stored in browser's local storage:
Technical Browser and System Data
- Language retrieved from the system
- Operating system and its version
- Browser and its version
- Time zone
- Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
User Activity Data
- URLs of pages where the Client is currently browsing and has browsed within the website where the widget is embedded
Detected Automations
List of detected automations. An automation is defined in the KODA dashboard and can be triggered when:
- Client visits the page for the first time
- Client visits the page again and their last visit was at least X hours ago
- Client clicks a specific element (CSS selector)
- An element (CSS selector) appears on the page, e.g., a payment error message
- Client moves the mouse outside the browser window
- The website passes a statistical event to the KODA script, e.g., product added to cart
After Chat Initiation
Data is stored in KODA (Google Cloud Platform):
- All data mentioned in 'Before Chat Initiation'
- All data provided by the Client in the chat during conversation with the chatbot (including excessive data provided by the Client) – applies if the chatbot functionality includes the ability for users to type messages
